Wilmington Student Briana Brown Presents Research at Assumption College's Undergraduate Symposium

Briana Brown of Wilmington, MA, class of 2013, presented her project: "Do Personality Traits Moderate Between Facebook Usage and Self-Esteem" at the Undergraduate Symposium at Assumption College on April 15-16. Briana worked with two classmates, Nabil Georges and Jaqueline Castiglioni, and examined the relationship between self-esteem, the Big Five Personality Traits, and Facebook usage and found that individuals who spent more time on Facebook reported higher self-esteem than individuals who spent less time on Facebook. Her poster won for Social Sciences. The Undergraduate Symposium is a celebration of student research and creative work in the arts, humanities, and sciences.
