Paige Benoit, of Holden, Earns Coveted Spot on the Assumption College Women's Tennis Team

The Assumption College Department of Athletics has announced that Paige Benoit, of Holden, has earned a coveted spot on the 2016-17 Assumption College Women's Tennis team. Benoit, Class of 2019, is competing during the Greyhounds' fall season, which began in September and extends into October.

"The women have been working very hard this season and are striving to be highly competitive in the Northeast-10 Conference," said Adam Williamson, head coach of the Women's Tennis team. "They are a talented group that work together as a team to accomplish tasks on and off the court."

While the Women's Tennis team may have had a rocky start to their season this fall with a loss at the Southern New Hampshire Conference, the team has shattered expectations and continued their season with an eight-game winning streak. On Oct. 5, the Greyhounds defeated rival Merrimack College to win its tenth straight match of the season. The team is in second place in the NE-10 Conference with a 10-1 record.
