Casey Gurlitz, of Auburn, Earns Coveted Spot on the Assumption College Women's Golf Team

The Assumption College Department of Athletics has announced that Casey Gurlitz, of Auburn, has earned a coveted spot on the 2016-17 Assumption College Women's Golf team. Gurlitz, Class of 2019, is competing during the Greyhounds' fall season.

"The team is set to start the second season in program history," said Brandon Parker, head coach of the Women's Golf team. "Although junior captain Alyssa Ruggieri is studying abroad this fall, the team is buoyed by the arrival of four talented freshmen and the continued improvement of sophomore Casey Gurlitz. The sky is the limit for this freshman class, and they will be a great core for years to come."

The Women's Golf team has already competed in three tournaments this year, claiming seventh place in the Northeast-10 Conference Championships. With just two tournaments left, the Hounds are looking to finish the season on a high note.
