Annah Coddington, of Beverly, Earns Coveted Spot on Women's Rowing Team

2016 Nov 7

The Assumption College Department of Athletics has announced that Annah Coddington, of Beverly, has earned a coveted spot on the 2016-17 Assumption College Women's Rowing team. Coddington is competing during the Greyhounds' fall season.

"This is my second year as the coach at Assumption College and I am very excited to see what the girls can do this year following last year's successful season," said Aline Seekins, head coach of the Women's Rowing team. "Our roster size has increased by about 50 percent from last year and which includes new talent that forces each rower to work harder to earn a seat in the boat. The girls came in this fall ready to work hard and I am happy to see that we are able to start off this season ahead of where we left off last year."

While a team primarily comprised of first-years and sophomores, the Women's Rowing team has trained all of September, preparing for their competitions. The Hounds have already made their mark by taking ninth place at the October 2, 2016 Textile River Regatta. The Hounds are slated to compete in two more regattas before the fall season's end, the first being the Quinsigamond Snake Regatta in Worcester, Massachusetts, and the second at the Head of Fish Regatta in Saratoga Springs, New York.
